🔗 How do Deep Links Work

Updated over 5 months ago

📝 Summary

❓ What is a Deep Link?

A Deep Link is a specialized URL designed to take users directly to a specific page, feature, or piece of content within an app or website—bypassing the homepage and any unnecessary navigation steps. This means users don’t have to search or click through multiple pages to reach the content they’re interested in.

How to Create a Deep Link in OFM Pro
Creating deep links in OFM Pro is a quick and easy process. Just follow these steps to set up your own customized deep links:

1. Navigate to the Deep Links Section

  • From your OFM Pro Dashboard, go to the Deep Links section. This is where you can manage and create your links.

2. Click on “Add Tracking Link”

  • Once in the Deep Links section, click the button labeled “Add Tracking Link”. This will open the Create Tracking Link modal where you can begin entering your deep link details.

3. Enter Your Link Details

  • Slug: Choose a short, memorable name for your link (e.g., elon). This is the part of the URL that will be unique to your link.

  • Destination URL: Enter the full URL where you want users to land after clicking the deep link (e.g., onlyfans.com/Elon). This is the page or content you want to direct users to.

4. Optional: Customize Your Link
OFM Pro gives you several options to further customize your deep link to enhance the user experience and improve traffic management.

  • Recovery URL: Add a backup URL that users will be redirected to if they hit the back button. This feature helps you recover lost traffic and ensures users are always directed somewhere useful.

  • Sensitive Content Warning: For content that may require an age or sensitivity check, enable a customizable pop-up before redirecting users to sensitive material.

  • Assign a Creator: If you are working with multiple creators, you can attribute this link to a specific creator. This helps with easier management and tracking of creator-specific links.

  • Notes/Tags: Add internal labels to your links for better organization, making it easier to track and manage various campaigns or content.

  • Country Exclusions: You can block traffic from specific countries and set a fallback URL for users who are excluded based on geographic restrictions.

  • Deep Linking Toggle: Decide whether the link will open in the device’s default browser or within the in-app browser. This option gives you flexibility in how users interact with the link, ensuring a smooth user experience no matter where they click.

❓ Why Use Deep Links?
Deep links are a powerful tool for improving user experience and engagement. They allow you to:

  • Enhance User Experience: By guiding users directly to specific content or pages, deep links minimize friction and make navigation faster and more intuitive.

  • Increase Conversion Rates: Streamlining the process for users often results in higher conversion rates. When users can get to the content they’re interested in more easily, they’re more likely to take action.

  • Better Tracking: With the added ability to assign links to specific creators or campaigns, you can track and analyze user behavior more effectively, helping you refine your marketing strategies.
