💰 How to Connect a Custom Domain Using Cloudflare

Updated over 4 months ago

This step-by-step guide will walk you through how to:

  • Create a free Cloudflare account

  • Purchase a domain via Cloudflare Registrar

  • Set up DNS records to connect your custom domain with OFMPro

Step 1 – Create a Cloudflare Account

Visit https://dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up
Create your free account, and don’t forget to confirm your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.

Step 2 – Buy a Domain Name Through Cloudflare

Once you’re logged in:

  1. Click "Domain Registration" in the left-hand menu

  2. Hit "Register Domains"

  3. Search for and purchase your preferred domain

🔒 It’s your domain — OFM Pro takes no commission or control over it.

Step 3 – Return to Your Cloudflare Dashboard

After purchasing, head back to your Cloudflare Account Home to begin setup.

Step 4 – Add Your Domain to OFM Pro

Inside your OFMPro account, go to the Custom Domains section.
Click the top-right button: "Add Domain"

Type in your new domain (use all lowercase letters).

Step 5 – Copy the DNS Records

You’ll now see your required CNAME and sometimes TXT records.

🕒 If the TXT record doesn’t appear right away, check back in 10 minutes.

Step 6 – Add DNS Records in Cloudflare

In Cloudflare:

  1. Navigate to the DNS settings for your domain

  2. Click "Add Record"

  3. Add both the CNAME and TXT (if provided) exactly as shown in OFM Pro

⚠️ Make sure Proxy Status is ON
❌ Avoid extra spaces when copying & pasting

Step 7 – Let It Propagate

DNS changes usually apply quickly (5–30 minutes), but can take up to 24 hours.

In your OFMPro dashboard, the domain will show as “Active” once it’s ready.

❗️ Seeing “Error” instead of “Pending”?
Our system re-checks every 10 minutes — this is normal at first.
But if the error remains for over an hour, double-check your DNS settings.

Step 8 – You’re Live!

Once your domain is active, you can start assigning links to it.
