👉 What is Cloaking?

Updated over 5 months ago

Cloaking is a method where platform crawlers and automated review systems are redirected to a “safe” page — a benign preview URL or simplified version of your site that meets the platform’s content rules.
At the same time, real users are shown the actual offer or landing page.
This means there are essentially two different experiences:

  • One for the reviewer: clean, policy-compliant, and safe.

  • One for the user: the true commercial offer or destination.

Why It Matters

Because ad networks and platforms often rely on automated review systems, cloaking ensures that these systems never see the “real” landing page. Instead, they only interact with the simplified, compliant version. This helps protect campaigns from being flagged or blocked unnecessarily. How Cloaking Works in OFM Pro
With OFM Pro’s Cloaking Protection, traffic is automatically filtered to determine whether the visitor is a bot or a real human:

  • Platform crawlers/review bots → Sent to the safe preview page.

  • Real users → Sent directly to the actual offer or landing page.

This protects your campaigns from automated disapprovals while ensuring real visitors always see the correct experience. How to Access Cloaking Protection in OFM Pro
